Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains what information JointPrep collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. JointPrep is operated by Finding Well LLC, an Alabama limited liability company (“JointPrep,” “we,” “us”).

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the site and app:

  • Email address — when you request our free checklist, purchase a course, or otherwise sign up, so we can send you the content you asked for and occasional related updates.
  • Form and account data — information you type into forms, such as your name if provided, and any messages you send to support.
  • App usage data — information you enter inside the JointPrep app to make it useful, such as which joint you’re preparing (knee or hip), your surgery date, and your daily check-in responses (for example, how you’re feeling or which exercises you completed).
  • Basic technical data — standard web server logs (like IP address and browser type) generated automatically when you visit our site.

We do not intentionally collect protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA, and JointPrep is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. The joint/surgery-date/check-in details you choose to enter are used solely to personalize your own experience in the app.

2. How we use your information

  • To deliver the checklist, articles, or app access you requested.
  • To send marketing and product emails, such as tips, updates, and offers — you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the app and website.
  • To respond to support requests sent to support@jointprep.com.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.

3. Email service provider

We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to store email addresses and send marketing communications. Kit acts as our data processor for this purpose and has its own security and privacy practices. We do not use your email for any purpose beyond communicating with you about JointPrep.

4. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with service providers who help us run JointPrep (such as our email platform and payment processor), and only as needed for them to perform their services.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses minimal cookies and local storage — primarily to remember basic preferences and keep the site functioning correctly. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers. We may add privacy-respecting analytics in the future to understand overall site usage; if we do, we will update this policy.

6. Affiliate links

Some links in our home-prep checklist are affiliate links (including Amazon Associates), which may earn us a commission if you make a purchase. Clicking these links may allow the destination site to place its own cookies, governed by that site’s privacy policy. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account or email subscription is active, or as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 9).

8. Children’s privacy

JointPrep is intended for adults preparing for or recovering from joint replacement surgery. We do not knowingly market to or collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of marketing emails. To exercise any of these rights, unsubscribe from a marketing email using the link included in it, or email us directly.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of JointPrep after changes means you accept the updated policy.
