1. What that means
Our home-prep checklist and related content sometimes link to products — like raised toilet seats, shower chairs, or grabber tools — that can make recovery at home easier. Some of these links are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer, at no extra cost to you.
2. Our current affiliate partners
JointPrep currently participates in the following affiliate programs:
- Momentous — nutrition products such as protein powder, linked from the nutrition-related sections of our content.
- Rogue Fitness — exercise equipment such as resistance bands and light weights, linked from our exercise program content.
3. Other affiliate programs
We may also participate in other affiliate or referral programs in the future (for example, Amazon Associates). Any such relationships will be covered by this disclosure and will follow the same principles described below.
4. This never changes our recommendations
We choose what to recommend based on what genuinely helps patients prepare for and recover from knee or hip replacement — not based on which links pay the highest commission. Whether or not a link earns us a commission has no bearing on whether an item appears in our checklist or how we describe it.
5. No added cost to you
Using our affiliate links never costs you more than buying directly. Prices are set by the retailer, and any commission we earn comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your wallet.
6. Our editorial independence
JointPrep’s educational content — the prehab program, post-op guidance, milestones, and warning signs — is built from published clinical research and society guidance, and is entirely separate from our affiliate relationships. Affiliate links appear only in optional product suggestions, never within clinical or safety guidance.
